Jeff Veteto - Rodeo Clown

Jeff Veteto was born August 2, 1979, and raised in the small farming community of, Kinmundy, Illinois.  I love to entertain and make people laugh and that is why he chose to become a Rodeo Clown or Barrel man as many call them.  Jeff has been entertaining rodeo fans with comedy acts, jokes, and lots of laughs for the past three years.  He is not a newcomer to the sport; he has been a huge rodeo fan since he was a very small child.  Attending rodeos through the years made his love for the sport even stronger and in high school he began his rodeo career competing in the Illinois High School Rodeo Association (IHSRA) as a Bareback Rider.  In 1999 he qualified for the IHSRA State Finals and the National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA) Finals in Gillette, Wyoming.

In 1999 he also met and married my wife Jill (Liggett) Veteto.  Jill was also a rodeo competitor and a qualifier for the IHSRA and NHSRA Finals in Barrel Racing.  We currently live in rural Edgewood, Illinois.

Jeff "Boomers" Veteto

On February 24, 2000, Jill gave birth to our daughter Bailey Veteto.  It was the new responsibility of a family that sent Jeff searching for a source of extra income.   It is second nature for Jeff to be funny adding that with his love of rodeo and his experience as a competitor and he began his new career as Boomer Veteto Rodeo Clown.

He received his first award in 1999 when he was voted Illinois Bull Riders Association (IBRA) "Man In The Can". He has been honored as IHSRA Finals Funnyman in both 2000 and 2001.  The Bullriders of America voted him Specialty Act of the Year in 2001 for his unique act of “Extreme Backward Bullriding”.  This act has brought fans to their feet all season long. White Buffalo Rodeo Productions, Winterset, Iowa, for whom Jeff did several events this year, also presented Jeff with Barrell man of the Year Buckle.

The Bullriders of America voted him Specialty Act of the Year in 2001 for his unique act of Extreme Backward Bullriding.

Besides his backward Bullriding Jeff specializes in high impact, dangerous comedy with lots of explosives.  The comedy acts he does includes:  Kramer the Toy Poodle {Miniature Trick Horse); Mad Scientist and His Time Machine; The Highway Patrol; Piano Styling with Great Balls of Fire; Walk Across the Dessert with My Pedro, (Kramer); Unwanted Rescue from 911; Mad Scientist and the Molecule Scramble.

When you watch Jeff in the arena you realize he is having just as much fun as the audience!

Jeff is proud to be a part of the Rodeo Attitude Program, which also includes Humps-N-Horns.
