IRCA First Approved Rodeos feature 9 standard events with 10 payoffs:
Bareback Riding (BB) Saddle Bronc Riding (SB)
Bull Riding (BR) Girls Barrel Racing (GBR)
Open Calf Roping(CR), Over Forty Calf Roping (O/40)
Breakaway (BAR) Steer Wrestling (SW)
Team Roping (TR) Head & Heel

IRCA First Approved Rough Stock Only events feature:
Bareback Riding
Saddle Bronc Riding
Bull Riding

To bring an IRCA-sanctioned rodeo to your town:
-At least $200 added money must be added in each of the 9 events,
(Both sides Team Roping)
-Hire an IRCA approved Stock Contractor
-Contact any Officer, Director, or Approved Stock Contractor

IRCA Finals Rodeo
The IRCA Finals Rodeo is a three day event The top 15 contestants in each of the 9 standard events (both sides Team Roping) will compete. Finals Champions from each event and the Finals All-Around Champion will receive trophy buckles

IRCA Year End Awards
An awards banquet is held the first of the year for the year end awards.
Awards includes:
-Saddles to Event and All-Around Champion
-Buckles to Top 4 finishers in each event (both sides Team Roping), All-Around, and Rookie Cowboy and Cowgirl.
-Awards for Bareback Horse, Saddle Bronc Horse, Bull, and Timed Event Cattle of the Year.
-Awards for Rodeo of the Year, Special Recognition Rodeo, Most Improved Rodeo, Best Arena Grounds, and Best New Rodeo
