Ice the leg and the area over the ribs, 20 minutes every 2-3 hours. You don't have to stop what you are doing, but make sure you have that time between ice packs. Along with the ice bags, one of the best ways to help remove soreness from the thigh area is to ice while stretching, what I mean by this is when you are sitting on the floor, bed, couch with your legs straight out in front of you is to pull your heel to your butt with your knee bent in front of you, you can slide your heel as far as you can if you can't get it to your butt.

As far as the ribs go, you are looking at 8-12 weeks of healing time if they are broke, if only badly bruised, about the same time frame. Do what you can as far as day to day activity, try not to over do it. One thing that "might" help with the ribs is to get an ace wrap, (wal- mart, or a drug store) preferably 6" wide and wrap it around the area that hurts, but not real tight, this will help keep the ribs compressed a little more comfortable.

If things get to hurtin to bad, ibuprofen or something along those lines will help with the pain to a degree. Good luck and feel free to ask more questions.
