This is the way I built mine a few years ago. There are other ways I'm sure but I built mine to last. Get 4 10 foot 4x4's, sink them in the ground
about 3 feet and set them with concrete. Make sure your post's are squared up. Get some big eye hooks and screw them in your posts. Put them up high
enough to get your barrel off the ground. Buy 4 big springs, like the ones on a porch swing or garage door. Tie rope on each eye hook you set in your
post's. About 2 to 3 feet down your rope tie in your 4 springs then tie the rope thats goin' to your barrel to the other end of your springs. Put eye
hooks in your barrel then tie the rope to those. Make sure your barrel is closed on both ends. I will guarantee this barrel will buck and belly roll
like crazy. It sounds complicated to build but it's simple. If you need to know more post back to me

that is alot different than what i do. i just take 3 telephone poles and set them a few feet down in the ground and drill 3 holes in the barrel 1 in
front and 2 in back and take D rings and put them though the holes you drilled and then take a rope and cut it into 3 peices and tie one end to the D
ring and 1 end to the pole and do that on each hole that you drilled. but i dont have any poles around here so i just found trees. but what ever way
you decide to do it will all work

I made it about 6x8 foot square. I might have some pics to send you. You want the ends of the barrel closed so that it won't colapse. Yeah the poles
are wood. The springs you tie onto the ropes will really give it some bounce and belly rolls.

Yeah it will. I just tied the ropes apart from each other, that way they are a few inches from each other. It gives it a little bit more balence. It
works pretty good. God Bless

bucking barrel
I just built my this week, it was something similar to hap8. It works really good it belly rolls like crazy. I used 160 lbs rated garage springs, it
cost me about $100 dollars to build.

Hey ya'll..
I built mine outta two ropes also and put the barrel between two trees. The springs sounds like they have much more buck in them and more realistic.
Have to see if I can get my hands on some. But my barrel does belly roll very well and tips pretty far too. I'd like to see some pictures of the ones
with springs please. My email address is woodsman@pronetisp.net
Thanks! ~Dee (Yes, gal bull rider.)
