Type #1: Non-intentional
drag is when any calf is dragged after being tied 10 feet (or

1.
Such an infraction will be identified by the
flag judge and the roper will be assessed a $25.00 fine.
The flag judge must announce immediately to the roper
that he will be fined and it is the flag judges’
responsibility to mark it on the judge’s sheet (or with the
secretary). A drag
will not be assessed if dragging occurs during the tie and
when the calf is struggling to be tied.
The $25.00 fine can be paid immediately to the rodeo
secretary and must be paid to the contractor prior to
competing in his/her next rodeo.

disqualification. It
is the flaggers responsibility to record disqualification and
fine on judges sheet or
with the rodeo secretary.
3.
The
flag judge will give the benefit of the doubt in favor of the
roper.
4.
