the President –
Hello,
hope you are all surviving the winter.
I would like to welcome our new secretary,
Mindy Hamilton of Van Wert, Iowa.
Mindy has participated in rodeos has been
part of rodeo for years.
She was Miss Rodeo
Iowa
in 1999 and has helped with the Leon Youth Rodeo.
Her and her husband Wade have 2 daughters,
Carlee and Hallee.
She is a school teacher at Central Decatur
Schools in
Leon
.
We
are both new at our positions, but are looking
forward to a great year.
We are currently working on getting a website
set up for the IRCA through RodeoAttitude.com to
have standings and rodeo listings available.
Memberships are currently due so please be
getting those sent in.
The
banquet in
Centerville
was a success.
We awarded Bill and Sharon Hamaker a trip to
the finals in
Las Vegas
next year for all of their years of service and
dedication to the IRCA.
Once again mark your calendars for the IRCA
finals in
Osceola
,
Iowa
on September 9, 10, and 11, 2005
We
are doing the sponsorship program again this year so
start rounding these up.
It is a great program for both the contestant
and sponsor.
It is $100 to donate and the 20% of this will
be put into a drawing at the finals and a name will
be drawn for the money.
The sponsor will then get his/her name
advertised throughout the year whenever the
contestant participates.
It is the responsibility of the contestant to
get this information to the announcer and the IRCA
secretary to get the advertisement done.
You do not have to make it to the finals in
order to participate.
It is a great way to bring in money for our
finals
