On September 17, 2007, "Cowboys of Faith" a DVD by ProRodeo Films was released. Clayton was proud to be one of the cowboys who took part in this project speaking openly of his faith, his family and his career.

I was privileged to view this DVD and equally privileged to review it::

Once upon a time athletes were admired by young and old alike. Collecting baseball cards and memorizing batting averages was a national pastime. Young men dreamed of playing in the Super Bowl. No matter what the sport, athletes were role models and heroes. In today’s world fans are often disillusioned with the athletes they see on TV. Too often the stars of sports are viewed in the news for less than favorable behavior instead of competing in their chosen sport. Certain athletes have been quoted speaking against those who believe they should act as good role models. These athletes have stated the public has no right to expect anything from them except their obligations to their team irregardless how much money they are paid or how much they are in the limelight. This negative attitude has sadly become a part of modern sports.

If this attitude upsets you, take heart!

There are athletes who accept the responsibilities their status gives them. They are the cowboys and cowgirls of the rodeo arena! “Cowboys of Faith” features cowboys and cowgirls, who have reached the pinnacle of their sport, speaking honestly about their faith and the role it plays in the arena and in their everyday life. They speak about goals and personal responsibility necessary for success no matter what vocation a person chooses in life.

They speak openly of how their faith has given them the courage to use the talent God has given them not only to improve their own but those of others. They have no problem giving God the credit for their accomplishments. As they speak from the heart viewer of this DVD are treated to nothing short of phenomenal action footage showing these cowboys and cowgirls in action. Most of the footage is from the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas and the camera puts the viewer right in the arena!

In my opinion “Cowboys of Faith” is a must for young and old alike!
