San Antonio Rodeo Pays Off International Cowboys
The saddle bronc riding at the 10th performance of the San Antonio Stock Show Rodeo was truly an international event. At the top of the leaderboard and just returning to the U.S. from a trip back to his native Australia was Cody Angland with an 83 point ride on Carr Pro Rodeo’s Miss Congeniality. Team Ropers Set Record at San Antonio Rodeo
The first time that Kaleb Driggers ever roped at the San Antonio Stock Show Rodeo, he made history. The Albany, Ga., resident was just 19 years old, was roping with his mentor Brad Culpepper when they set the arena record of 4.0 seconds. They went on to win the rodeo, over $16,000, and Driggers earned the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association over-all and team roping rookie of the year honors. Read the rest of this entry »
San Antonio Rodeo Offers College Student Points
SAN ANTONIO, Texas --- Patrick Geipel may be one of the lesser known bull riders at the San Antonio Stock Show Rodeo, but that is about to change. Geipel from Elbert, Colo., won the second round in the third bracket on Wednesday night adding $1,965 to the $982 that he had won here on Tuesday. Contestants Fulfilling Dreams at San Antonio Rodeo
For many of the 448 rodeo contestants entered at the $1.2 million San Antonio Stock Show Rodeo, just competing in the AT&T Center is accomplishing a goal they set last year.
