Kate Smith Sings “God Bless America” My friend. Becky Lou Irish, posted this on her Facebook. I am so happy she took the time to pass this on. I enjoyed reading the history of the song but words can't express the feeling that went through my heart as I heard it sang. All I can say is "God Bless America!!!

My Ruby Ruby Meyers, my mother-in-law, had a plaque in her kitcn that read, "True friends are like gems - precious and rare. False friends are like autumn leaves. Found everywhere!" Like her name Ruby, was a gem and a true friend. our relationship didn't start ou that way. In fact, it was the exact opposite. Face it , I was a nineteen year old who knew it all!
